Tuesdays

School Field Trips

Morning option: 9:30–11:00 a.m.
Afternoon option: 12:00–1:30 p.m.

The Eccles Wildlife Education Center gives students a chance to experience the Farmington Bay wetlands firsthand. All school field trips are self-guided and by reservation only. Wednesdays

Tales and Trails

10:00–11:00 a.m.

Bring your little ones to hear a story read by an Eccles Wildlife Education Center staff member or volunteer. After the story, venture out to the nature trail for a self-guided walk. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the welcome desk in the Conservation Hall.

Thursdays

Fridays

Nature Trail Walk

11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

When you explore the Farmington Bay wetlands you never know what you'll discover. Join one of the Eccles Wildlife Education Center staff members or volunteers on a guided nature trail walk to take a closer look at the natural world. Meet at the welcome desk in the Conservation Hall.

Nature Discovery Program

2:00–3:00 p.m.

The wetlands at Farmington Bay are full of incredible things! Grab a few friends or bring the whole family to discover nature through an activity or guided nature trail walk with an Eccles Wildlife Education Center staff member or a volunteer. Meet at the L.S. Skaggs Wetland Discovery Classroom.

Saturdays

Coffee and Conservation

9:30–10:30 a.m.

Bring your own beverage and join other outdoor and wildlife enthusiasts while we watch birds from the viewing patio at the L.S. Skaggs Wetland Discovery Classroom.

Birding on the Boardwalk

11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Have fun and learn something new at Birding on the Boardwalk! We've combined a nature trail walk with a family-friendly birding class. Each week, you will learn useful skills and information that can help you find and observe birds in the wild. Meet at the L.S. Skaggs Wetland Discovery Classroom.
